Nercon’s Conveyor Sanitation Construction Reaches New Levels
March 12, 2013
Having served national and multi-national food manufacturers with sanitary conveyor design and engineering services for more than 35 years, Nercon continues to innovate on sanitary conveyor designs to help customers with cleaning efficiencies. The cantilever-style, flighted elevator is the latest Sanitary Level III conveyor design that offers the highest level of sanitation compliance.
This flighted elevator is expertly engineered to handle starched food or raw food product with extreme caustic wash-down proficiencies. The stainless steel frame is an all welded, bead blasted, sealed tube design.
The belting features an endless solid polyurethane composition, with low tension. The use of a sprocket and gear drive without hinge points provides positive drive and optimal sanitation level s in handling raw food. The system is engineered with a cantilever design to allow for removal of the belt for ease of sanitation processes.
Featuring COP (clean out-of place) options that include removable covers, the Sanitary Level III indexing conveyor offers among the fastest cleaning efficiency conveyor designs available, with additional benefits of low-maintenance and reduced down-time.
Nercon Eng. & Mfg., Inc. has committed to a company-wide directive on creating engineering efficiencies and improving specifications on six conveyor construction levels, with four levels focusing on sanitary conveyor designs. Nercon has developed white papers and webinars on how to leverage these designs (that meet USDA, FDA, BISSC, 3A and DAIRY compliance) in food plant operations.
