Nercon's vertical merger is built for bags and pouches to be discharged from a conveyor, built at a different elevation, onto a single conveyor line, merging the product within the stream.
The bags detected on the top conveyor are meant to be "injected" into the gaps on the bottom conveyor with assistance from servo driven metering belt conveyors placed before the merger. Both lines are set at predetermined speeds, providing gaps between products to complete the vertical merge. Products also maintain their current position throughout the merging process.
The continuous flow of this merger allows the processing line to continue to move even through the merging process. This allows products to be moved at faster speeds, increasing production output.
